... just as the topic says.. Sorry if the question was too obvious..
If I do need a gasket, where can I get one or can I just make one?
Thanks

Go w/o an gasket, when it blows it is a pain in the butt to replace it every time. When you bolt it directly on, it will seal 100% and you don't have to worry about blown gaskets.

No gasket there. I got piston to valve hit, when my damn wg to dump tube gasket blows and the hot exhaust gases melted the timing belt cover and the belt jumped over the cam gears
. Little damage n first place, but occurs big problem. This had'nt happend without an gasket.
Thanks

Could you be more specific? 'cause I got gaskets for:
-- turbo-mani, mani-WG, WG-dump tube flange...
which one do I NOT need?
Thanks

austrain- you dont use any kind of sealant or ANYTHING? just metal to metal, and it all seals up fine? i've got a gasket in between my WG and manifold that i think is fucked... should i just take it out and put the wastegate on without anything there? sorry if this is getting redundant for you, i just need some definite clarifaction.
Use the fire ring gaskets on your wastegate and dump, teh bolts will stretch and break before you blow that gasket. As for the down pipe if you use a gasket make sure its metal.
yeah, it seals all, I got tired of changing out the gsket at the wg flanges, metall, copper, all blows after time. I never runned a gasket between turbo - manifold and never runned one between turbo - dp. Just go metal to metal.
Maybe it is does'nt seal 100% when the metall is cold, but after it gets hot it is okay. But I have this problem only at the manifold - turbo area.
If you run a gasket between manifold and turbo and it will blow, congratulation, cause you will have a few hours of shitty work.

I have never blown the gasket between the turbo and mani. its metal, maybe its just me but I have never seen that. Wastegate gaskets that are made of crumby material, yeah, but there are some bad *** gakets that have a fire ring that work good, I never had a problem with them either.
metal gasket wil never blow, at least I have never seen it blow. It seatc between the two surfaces with the groove in between.
