diy intercooler piping
diy turbo set up almost complete for my 1998 ls integra sedan save for fmu, fuel pump, and piping. wondering if there are any methods for constructing some piping myself, so i dont have to spend $300 on the internet.
setup so far: stock b18b1 skunk 2 manifold, aem fuel rail and fpr, b&m fuel pres. gauge. afr gauge, fmic, greddy bov, blox map diffuser, garrett airesearch t3 .63 .48 w/ internal actuator set at 8psi, tubular manifold
also do any of you know what the chances of me having to use a civic radiator and fan?
thanks, new to honda-tech

Re: diy intercooler piping (Project:PULL)
jcwhitney.com get 3 or 4 u bends and maybe a straight section (you can get these at autozone, etc), cost around 100. you could then buy a foot or 2 of silicon and use couplers, unless you own a welder or know of a competent one, a shop will probly charge you a good amount to fit and weld them. if you can fit and mark the pipes yourself, a shop might weld it up for you pretty cheap. i think you should sell the fmu and even fuel rail and go with a standalone ecu setup, good luck.

Re: diy intercooler piping (eastbay92cx)
ive seen little kits for about a hundred bucks or so on ebay that are labeled integra/civic but would there be alot of cutting necessary on the piping or the fender wall. perhaps an extra 45 degree bend would be necessary?

if you can weld you can do it all with like 3 180* bends. Or check in the sponsors section. I saw a kit the other day for a good price that comes with extra pieces to fit your needs.

Re: diy intercooler piping (adictionbass)
I bought mild steel mandrel bends from Jegs for $14/ea, a length of silicone hose from ebay for $25 to cut couplers off of, and stainless hose clamps from Lowe's for $1/ea. I scored the ends of the pipes with a Dremel and double clamped the couplers so nothing popped off. That held up fine to over 20 PSI of boost.

3- 180
1-45
2' of straight pipe
That will do the trick... cut and mark them. Should be a little over two hours or labor (I get mine TIG Welded) at a local welder (100-120$). Try http://store.racing-solutions.org/index.html total should be under 100 bucks for piping. Costs me on average 220$ total to get piping on a car
