distance from fuel pump to rail?? for new fuel lines
this is for the guys who have already done it.
i am wanting to know the distance from the pump to the fuel rail, and what fittings you used.
yes i know i could pull mine out and measure, but i want to pre order everything and get it put together before i pull my old crap out.
can you use a walbro 255 and run the stainess lines from it, if so what fittings are needed.

From the fuel filter to the rail an 18" line will be more than enough. The problem with the stock rail is that you have to use a banjo fitting for it to seal on the factory rail. From my experience, the banjo fittings are very touchy when it comes to making them seal correctly.
In an aftermarket rail situation, most after market rails use a -6 thread size. Of the top of my head I'd have to say I'm not sure of the fuel filter size thread.

He said pump to rail...not filter to rail. 18" is a crazy long filter to rail line...mine might be 12".

93LSivic: great pic do yo have any from the bottom side to see how they are mated into the pump?
also i run an aftermarket fuel filter, i think i can make something to fit from there because i have to "T" in the nitrous solinoid somewhere along there. i was just wondering how much line to buy and what kinds of fittings you guys used in the stock location,
i am not sure yet but i may just sump my tank and run an external, cause it suck dropping that tank for a bunch of ****

Re: (DaX)
The fitting that threads in is the same one that threads into the stock filter except at a 90 degree. I believe its a 12x1.25 thread size or under Earl's fittings look under carberator fittings. The other is a -6an bulkhead and nut of course. The washer is the BUNA washer also an Earl's fittings part. I used -6an feed and return throughout. Hope this helps. If you look in the fab forum you'll see a thread I started regarding my project of going with twin walbro's and either using -10an feed or twin -6an feed lines.

Everyone buy a "maybe 12" long" fuel line and hope that your motor doesn't rip it off the firewall. So 18" is a tad longer than stock. I wonder how much horsepowerzzzz will be lost.
