How to hook up Aeromotive fuel regulator.
Ive never held one of these in my hand and I wanted to know what size and where the lines go. From looking at it I see a Vaccum source and return line, but the side ports on the side is what gets me. I know one side is used from the fuel rail but what does the other port do and where does it go?
Also, what AN size are each port..
Thanks,

Re: How to hook up Aeromotive fuel regulator. (Arturbo)
I believe both sides are -10 an and the return is -6 an. One side screws into the end of your fuel rail like you said, the other connects to the fuel line running into the rail. Obviously, you will need to get some fittings for this all to work.

I have the fittings so that isnt a problem. But you say one end goes to the other side of the rail but isnt that where the line from the fuel filter goes?

Right, exactly, the line from the fuel filter goes into the fpr.
Like this: fuel filter ---> fuel line ---> fpr ---> fuel rail

Re: How to hook up Aeromotive fuel regulator. (TurboT)
i dont know where u guys learned that that was the way to setup the regulator...
the regulator has 2 inlets on it... which are the 2 bigger holes on the upper portion... from ur fuel rail... of a line coming from it... that connects to one of the holes... the other one gets plugged up... the return is smaller and on the bottom... the little nipple on the side of the reg is for the vaccum... thats about it

thanks tom, I was thinking you would plug it up. I was drawing it out here on paper and the 2nd port made no sense. I was thinking, how can you put the inlets on both sided of the fuel rail.

Re: How to hook up Aeromotive fuel regulator. (Arturbo)
I am going to have to get a fuel regulator when I install the turbo in a few weeks here. So do you think the aeromotive would be a good choice? The best choice? ART post pics when you get it put in if you could!!

Well if you are running a fmu you can use the stock one. The only reason Im getting an adjustable is because Im going stand alone with larger injectors.

Fuel filter------>fuel rail--->injector 4---->3---->2---->1---regulator -10 line.
The top port goes to a vaccum source, and the bottom goes to the return line -6 line.

Re: How to hook up Aeromotive fuel regulator. (Arturbo)
What about the B&M fpr which I already have, and vortech fmu with stock injectors? SOund good for the time being until I can afford the aeromotive, ditch the fmu and get new injectors?? When you say standalone, does that entail getting some sort of fuel computer (VAFC)?

Re: How to hook up Aeromotive fuel regulator. (Tom)
the regulator is not too heavy to just hang off the end of the rail ? I have never actually held one in my hands, but it looks quite a bit more bulky than the stock FPR.
also, I assume that if you didnt put it on the end of the rail, you would mount it on the fire wall or strut tower ? having that extra fuel line between the rail and the regulator wont hurt its functionability ?
art, that would be great if you could post some pics up when you get yours going.
