Default Which Direction, help clear this up!

I recently bought a slim fan, i placed it behind my radiator just like the stock one. i cut the harness and wired up the blue wire from the fan to the blue wire off the harness and same with the black.

is the fan supposed to blow toward me if im standing in front of the car?

im just going to switch the wires.

could this have been the problem of my "semi-overheating?" b/c i was told my thermostat works b/c my lower radiator gets warm and the fan turns on.

it was during cruising. not much at all. you know how there is (2) "squilly" lines it would go passed the first one and almost go passed the 2nd one and then go back to normal operating temps. after i would slow down or stop. it had the fan on hot 90% of the time too
