Top Mount Manifolds
I've noticed that top mounts are the new ram horns, but are they as efficient? A couple months back I was planning on buying my equal length ramhorn but due to funds wasn't able to. I am beginning to think that I got lucky since now I have the option to pick up a top mount. A couple questions first:
1) Are they as efficient as Equal Lenghts
2) What does the pricing run
3) When going the top mount rout, are there more things to take into consideration w/ the rest of the turbo setup?
Also any pics of your top mounts would be

I've noticed the popularity as well. I would guess that the runners are about the same length, just that one goes one way and one goes the other.
I'd like to hear from top mount users on how many inches of drain line they are using.

There's the top mount that I just purchased. It should allow for better oil return seeing there is a nice 10 inch drop or so to the pan. The only problem I'm going to have is where to route the intake to (stupid ford housing flanges on my comopressor).

Same as when the turbo is on the bottm . Clock the center section so that the feed is on top and run a longer return line.

I have always wondered if the hood would get incredibly hot and ruin the paint. I have been thinking about making one for my D

CRP has had one out for quite a while now, and he's been selling quite a few of them. This is my friends, i believe the first top mount CRP made, and i also think CRP made one of the first top mounts .. but dont quote me on that.

most top mount manifolds retain the "equal length" runner design. the top mount design also allows for use of a larger diameter downpipe (3.5"-4"). if you go with a topmount mani your most likely gonna need a trick intake system or c-clamp some wire mesh to the turbo inlet, a longer oil return line and a half radiator (most designs dont clear a full size).
this full-race product is amazing...

All my pics and short review are in my thread here:

The return line is prolly about 12" lnog or so. it's sucha fail safe easy way to reoute the return line that no noe could mess it up.

Re: Top Mount Manifolds (ScottEK)
to answer your question,
1) Are they as efficient as Equal Lenghts
I saw a better gain in response and spool up with the top mount
2) What does the pricing run
One-Fab Top mount starts at $ 850, Let me know if you are interested
3) When going the top mount rout, are there more things to take into consideration w/ the rest of the turbo setup?
[b] Oil return kit must be longer, about 12 inches or so. No AC, no P/S and a little extension for the intercooler piping.
Now, for fun....try this one
One-Fab top mount manifold and Jason "St00pid" 4" downpipe.
the above turbo is a T3/4E
