It did happen to me :(
I have just installed uberdata a week ago, got my wideband 3 days ago,, the car was running extremly fine, I was about to splice my nokia wire to start datalogging and fine tuning and the worst thing happened to me last night, my car got stolen, so I've lost everything, my setup was a built B18B (pistons, rod, all new bearing water pump, oil pump etc...) turbo was from a volvo 96 it was small but did the job,,it was better than to not have any like now ,,,, I think this will be my last post in the forum, I can't afford another car and I was not insured, so I'm broke without a car, sad it is. I enjoyed alot building my car, and I've learnt alot too, 2 years ago I didn't even know what was a timing belt lol. I wish you guys all the luck and strength to overcome the hard path that tuning is. Here is a pic of my *stolen* car.
I live in montreal quebec, canada so if anyone hear anything or see anythin that could lead to have my car back, I'd be very happy.

Put out a reward for info on the streets man, you'll get some info.
Don't give up man, you can't quit like this.

I was using a kill switch anti theift device,, you had to press 2 buttons under the car carpet you couldnt feel them and you had to press the 2 simultanously. if you dont press the buttons the fuel pump wasnt powered. I wont tell to much details though, cause it is really an homemade device. I think my car got stolen by a towing cause it is almost impossible to find the 2 buttons , and even if you find that it is the fuel pump there is an intended mess in the wires under the dash. the car was stolen in montreal city on the Plateau Mont-Royal.
thanks for your support guys
(I'm so sad)

sorry to hear that, but for all others out there: Please buy insurance to cover your own ***. most insurance companies will pay up if you have everythign documented adn pics, etc.
If they really really really want it, they'll get it. Proper insurance is imo the final line of defense. At least you get some of the $$ you put in back.

I have tried to insure the car, but they would only insure the shell (the exterior) even if I brought it to an evaluation center, they wouldnt insure for the engine neither for the turbo and stuff. Anyway there's not much that I can do now
**** man I'm crying for real.

Sorry to hear that man. I work for Progressive Insurance and I deal with people everyday that think insurance is a waste of money. Then something happens and they realize why it is so important.

sorry to hear what happened. I had my car built/tuned and running pretty good. Brand new alarm installed and everything. Was stolen acouple of weeks later. I got it back and is now almost running as smooth as it was and it only took a year and another dip back into credit card debt
I wish u luck with getting it back
