Default BA4 build

this is def. not a build you see everyday on this site. i have maybe only seen 2 on this site.

here is my little story. i hardly ever post but i am on prelude power all the time.

on to the car.
bought it september 30, 2007.
got a timing belt and water pump done almost the second i got it home.
powersteering pump went out replaced that.
only real big things before the wenter rolled around.
bought some fat fives toward the end of winter.
finnaly got tires 4 months later in june. yes you guessed it poor school boy lol
then something unexpected happend...

on to the pics

day i brought her home

got her nice and shiny with a good wax

a mid winter shot

that fat fives finally on

now why im starting this old couple on a big *** honda goldwing ran a stop sign and smacked into me. guys wife flew off and hit her head on my back window shattering that. handle bars went through the windsheild. the rest of the bike smacked up against the whole passanger side of the car.

on to the work i had completed over the weekend.
i had picked up a mirror, back window, pass side fender, door. and went to work.

got the fender pulled off

door off. JEEP BRO! lol

new door on opens and closes PERFECT

my wire nightmare. door i got did not have power locks so i had to deal with all that BS.

mirror on

and lastly the dust sheild is on.

just need to get some paintless dent done on the fender so i can get that done.

sorry for long *** first post but i started my build already.

many more updates to come.

This place has nowhere near enough BA4 builds.
I hope to own a white BA4 one day.

wow, forgot about this so i guess i'll finish it off because the car has been done for quite some time now lol.

little more body work

done just in time for the Omaha prelude meet. (which im lacking pictures of lol)

but here it is with the body work all done

yes it needs to be lowered.

and because of being a broke student. the lowering came a long time after the body work was done.

not slammed but i like it so much better than 4x4 status

as of now the car is just chillin in the garage waiting for the snow and salt to go away.

SO FAR: i have picked up the rare clock cover!

so i am done for 2008 and i am looking forward to summer so i can finally tint the bitch and get a new exhaust lol
also i bought a d40 so im eager to take some good pictures of the car finally.

hope you enjoyed.

Well, Hello again H-T. It has been awhile since I have completed anything on the prelude, but the past couple of weeks I have got some stuff done to the car. I finally released all the hoses and a couple of gaskets to get everything back to par. Did a wicked detail on it for a car show, and finally added some window tint!

and for ***** and giggles i almost got under lol

new window tint, I just got this done the other day and have not had the opportunity to get a photoshoot let alone roll the windows down lol

I think it'd be tough choosing just the "right" wheel for this car. So many good options, but with that clean of a body... hard to find the best choice.

Great looking car, though.

thanks! My dad and I redid the garage over last week and its sweet, We're still not done yet but i think i might be investing in some air tools. A must for rusty south dakota cars lol. Also i want to get a bigger tool box, but we'll see. I'll take pictures of that when we are done.

As for wheels...

I love Fat-Fives, my favorite OEM wheel by far thats why i got them.
and
I am a student and like not having any student loans or loans for that matter. Hopefully I can get by with only taking a student loan out for the last year of school!

thanks guys!!

Well the Prelude needs some attention again.... This time in a big way for me. I believe I will be rebuilding her this winter! I just need to make sure I'm going in the right direction before I even begin. After researching the b20a5 a little bit more, I found by adding a few misc parts from the b21a1 such as the intake manifold(already on the car), pistons, and exhaust cam will give it a bit more pep in its step. I'm not looking to get mad power out of this car, just a fresh motor as I do not know the exact history of the motor swap. here is what i have compiled as far as what I'm looking to do. please note the prices are taken of of majestic Honda and are brand new OEM prices, but i will be looking for the deals in other places

Here is what im looking to do
A/C Removal
Partial Wire Tuck
Custom Intake
DC Header

Rebuild the current motor
b21a1 pistons.......164.80
b21a2 ex cam.......220.73
b21a1 rings..........133.00
rod bearings...........70.08
main bearings.........90.06
Main Seal...............11.55
Head Gasket...........42.22
Oil Pan Gasket.........21.22
Intake Gasket...........8.50
Exhaust Gasket.........8.81
Valve Cover Gasket....7.59
Timing Belt..............26.22
Water Pump.............48.94
Fidanza Flywheel.......xxx.xx
ACT Clutch...............86.25
approximate total..... 950.00

Also I think I may be needing a brake master cylinder, motor mounts, and axle shafts.

what do you guys think?
