Default Detination Problems!

I have a 95 accord vtec, turbo (f22-b1) I have a vafc controller, 450cc injectors, my timing is retarded 2 degrees and I'm getting detination around 8-9 lbs. I know an msd boost retard controller would fix the problem, is there any way to fix with out buying one, if not, does any one know where I can get a goood deal on one? please help!

thanks

I have a missing link and a fmu(12:1) for sale, give me an offer!

how about retarding your timing a little bit more! Do you have a 255lph fuel pump? You really don't need a boost retard system to fix this problem. I noticed that your selling your fmu, so do you have another fuel pressure regulator in place of it such as a aeromotive or somethign in that nature? You shouldn't be detenating if you have a correct setup.

Yeah thats about right, any higher boost use race gas you don't need that much boost everyday! Ps DETONATION.

was running 89 octane, but switched to 93 octane, I have a 255 liter/hr fuel pump. Would the gas cause this?If I retard it to 3 or 4 degrees, wont it be sluggish off the line, as if right now I'm having a problem with the fuel pressure. I have the factory fuel regulator, its reading high fuel pressure, 60psi (yikes!)would this be causing it? I want to order the AEM regulator, would this be a good idea? please let me know!

You need to have something to add fuel under boost. You could add more fuel with the VAFC, but thats rpm dpenedant (itll get you close at WOT)
