Denting Hood with MaxRev Manifold and tial wastegate?
Any one have problems with their wastegate denting the hood with a MaxRev manifold? Is a elbow needed to prevent denting like some of the other manifolds?

I dont have a MaxRev manifold but it's similar to the RevHard I have. In order to clear the hood w/o damaging the inner linings, you must use a "wastegate neck" to install your wastegate at a safer location. You can make it yourself welding together --(2) wastegate flanges and a 90 degree bend of 1 1/4" piping or purchase one from "overboost.com" and wait a year for it to get to you.------ Overboost.com a.k.a. "Overpriced.com"

I have a maxrev mani and tial WG...no problems....at least with the car being driven nice. Not sure if the engine movement while driving hard may make the WG hit the hood with my setup, but I don't think it will.

Doesn't seem like MaxRev has the same problem as RevHard and some of the other cast iron designs.

yah might wanna inspect those too. i was running around thinkin it was soley the wastegate hitting the hood but my drivers side mount was totally ripped up. it was the motor jumpin between shifts that caused the most damage
