Default debating between 4 turbos for b16a?!

first of all, i have a 2000 civic SI, daily driver, i want to boost it and my goal is only about 240whp, maybe more if the stock internals can handle it?? anyone have experience running more than about 8-9psi on stock internals?

anyway, ive been researching, and ive come to the conclusion that i want a turbo that pulls hard all the way to redline (7800), i really dont mind the turbo lag which would be the tradeoff for more power up top, but ive narrowed it down to a few turbos here: Precision SC34(.63 ex.housing w/ .76 trim wheel, and .60ar comp. houseing?) or SC50? not quite sure what the difference is, maybe its minimal, also T3/T04E .63ar w/ stg 3 wheel and 50 trim compressor? OR garret t3/t4 60 trim w/ .63ar or .57ar w/ stg 3 wheel.

Ive heard that all of these pull hard up top to atleast 7800, and get full boost mostly before 4k rpm. I plan to tune with hondata, RC440s most likely, and pump and fpr. so the ? is which turbo is right for my engine and my goals

go with RC 550 much easier, if u want to upgrade
i would go with the SC34
it will spool a bit later, but they pull high end.

any idea where about the SC34 would spool up? and can i use an external wastegate with it? ive heard that externals are much more reliable for holding boost at constant levels. one more thing, how much whp and wtq do you think I could get out of my b16a1, on stock internals, with this SC34 and tuning with hondata for about 8psi? TIA

8psi out of any of those turbos will kill a stock block honda motor. its just a matter of time...

it could and very well might last a while 1 year + but its going kill those pistons by either breaking a ringland, or by weakening the rings over time causing blow-by and excessive oil usage, and drops in power.

you really think so?! thats pretty depressing, i was hoping by keeping the boost at 8psi or less i could be running on stock internals no problem, i mean, people share stories about running on turbos with stock engines for 2, even 3+ yrs. i know im not at the point right now where i would want to upgrade the internals to forged or lower te comp or anything,

so youre basically saying that boosting a honda with stick internals will kill it in the long run, but i need this car to last me atleast 4 yrs...could i maybe shoot for a smaller turbo for less whp? i mean, is it a problem of the turbo selection? the psi range? whp goals? or simply the fact that i want to boost a stock b16a1? i had planned on using hondata, and upgrading the injectors, fpr, and pump, i wasnt going to skimp in that area, just to let you know, if that would make any difference.....anyones input here would be helpful, im starting to get worried about this turbo idea now....?

It's not the turbo that kills the motor. It's the tuning, or lack of that kills it.

well like i said, i was planning on going with hondata, with RC450cc+ injectors, large walboro fuel pump, and FPR if i need, i figured this would be the best setup for tuning, so would i still have trouble running a medium sized turbo on a stock b16a1?
