Default Garrett T3/T4 57 Trim

Anyone got this turbo on their b16. Garrett T3/T4 57 Trim .63AR.

What kind of power are they making and how is spool time? If anyone has dyno sheet could they post it up.

made 375 whp at 17 psi and 325 whp on 11 psi on bone stock b16a on 93 octane, I loved the response of the turbo with the b16a tansmission made for a nice street car. I believe I hit full boost by 5000 rpms

I had a turbo very simliar to a 57 trim. It was a garrett unit almost same size wheels just a little larger on the exducer which made it a 58 trim but i was able to get 450whp out of it on 19 psi. turbo was maxed at that point made no power after that pressure. I believe it was manily due to the oversied exhaust wheel which will max a turbo out quicker and lower boost than smaller exhaust wheel will

Good turbo choice for a stock B series. I will be running on on my Ls Vtec. You should start to see boost at around 3500 rpms which make it good for a street car, it will keep MPGs up. It will make up to 400whp I believe.

I made 411 whp/301tq at 20Psi (B18).. I have Gsr cams(Sig below). Its a Garrett T3/t4oe 60 trim. Better cams would have netted me a good increase in peak power. Gsr cams do fine tho. im happy with it, When i get bored i have a 35shot

My engine is built but with stock sleeves. Would a larger turbo be better choice? I'd be happy with 400-450whp

Just had a look at your dyno results thread. Very nice power The nitrous sure does increase torque. If you fitted a set of type r cams do you think it would hold power out longer? I've got gsr cams also but may change these out for something better

I have a B18A1 block. B16a head ( mild porting) Gsr internals though. I would have made more power/Tq if i went with the LS Crank ( Just how things worked out i already had a Gsr crank/Rods)

Type R cams would have definatly netted me more power. Id guess around 30-40whp at same boost level.

Gsr cams do fine. I have been looking into cams but i wouldnt go that large ( Type R, Skunk 2 Tuner 1s, Edlebrock 4730, GSC N1's) Those would be my choice if i were to upgrade.

honestly with stock sleeves i would just set your goal to 400whp and be happy with that ( if using pump gas)

ALot of people have different Views but i really think after 400whp your really risking it(on pump 93). Just FYI mine cracked at 385whp 280Tq. 81.5mm bore (same tuner) Granted it was a 20 degree night it could have been making more power. Still i would just be careful with pump gas over 400whp.

Yeah nitrous defintaly increases TQ! You can certainly feel it lol. When it activatesmy IAT's Drop significantly. Thats why there is such a increase on such a small shot. The No2 definatly cools down the charge more then a intercooler clearly

I'm going to have it tuned on pump gas however i'm thinking of buying the AEM meth kit and run 50/50 mix water/methanol. I'm hoping this should add a little safety to my engine. I would love a sleeved block but funds won't allow at the moment.

Yeah That would definatly give you some safety for sure. Make sure you run the Fail safe, and a Management that can support that

Any reason why your not revving the engine higher than 8000?

I'm going with a mini ram manifold hopefully it won't loose out on much power compared to full ram
