Daily Driver Turbos
How often do you have to not drive your turbo daily driver because of misc. problems and what not, over the course of a year? Also what are common problems that you encounter??
i drove a turbo b18b over 2year consistent 10 miles easy way to work and 15 miles to school. i never had a problem just change oil regular maintaince and you should be just as good as factory if the install is done right.
my car is daily driven with a custom kit...so far no internal problems yet....but i do somthing to it at least two nights a week its off the road for misc stuff...ie new couplings...oil feed leaking oil return leaking...oil return flange off the turbo leaking...like that....bad part about it is that to get to the return properly u have to take out mr rad. wg, fan, sometimes even downpipe too....its real tight...like all hondas with big mannys and big turbos, no room to work on them
so what happened after 2 years detonation? sold it?? Just curious, Im slowly piecing my kit together. I have second thoughts sometimes(like today)

sold it.. customer still used the car for another 2 years before he blew it up.

InlinePro installed my Drag III kit on my 94 GSR around 13 months ago. Along with the kit, I got 440cc injectors, larger fuel pump, afc, and a lower compression headgasket. I've been boosting 10lbs daily for 13 months and I haven't seen a single day of down time except for the 4 days I didn't have my car because I was getting a Hondata installed/tuned. The car now has 130,000 miles on it, and still runs perfect. Oh, and my commute to work is half an hour one way. The only problem I can think of, is my stock motor mounts aren't as strong as they need to be and the fitting on the top of my wastegate was rubbing against the hood when I drove the car hard. This caused the vacuum line to come loose. I have since replaced the vacuum line, the fitting, gotten motor mount inserts and notched out some of the webbing of the hood.

My car is daily driven and daily raced. 89k miles total. 15k miles boosted. I drive about 2k miles per month. 8psi daily. the only time i go under the hood anymore is to change plugs and do an oil change. just did compression test last week, 185,190,180,180
dont be scared to turbocharge ur daily driver. with a reliable install and reliable parts it should behave just like a stock car.
