Default D16Z6... Good engine to boost?

A buddy of mine has a 96 Civic EX and has been thinking about turbo'ing it. Just wondering if the motor will hold decent boost, and how much of it. And will also hold up pretty well as a daily driver.

Thanks in Advanced

you got your engine code messed up, the 96 ex is a d16y8. Those motor are good for boost, a lot of sohc is running that or the d16z6 or the d15b. If you do a search, you can find a lot of threads on sohc turbos

I like what I'm reading here. I have the 98 EX (d16y8) and it is soon to be owned by HMT or by whatever owns it, whatever. Anyway, I have to go in steps though. Harness>ECU>Burner>Chipped>Find Pieces>DO IT! Is there a link for a write-up or walk-through on a y8 turbo. HMT is down and it sucks. All this time of school to sit and and so squat.

the d has been indestructible for me and a bud of mine so far, he crashed and f'ed up his front end, he was mad and just kept his foot on the gas and banged on the rev limi for about 3 mins trying to blow the motor, its still running strong to this day
