Default D series turbo upgrade 300-350whp pump Which turbo from experienced d series guys

Ok set up is d16y8 pistons and rods, ported head 1mm over sized valves and so forth 3" dp and exhaust.REV HARD manifold ported out.

Now i have a t3t4e 50 trimm stage one exhaust.

I need a new turbo and im gonna go Ball Bearing this year.

Now ive been looking at these 3 choices.

1.T3T4 50 trim stage 3 wheel
2.T3T4 60 trim stage 3 exhaust
3.T360-1 trim stage 3 exhaust wheel

I like the spool of what i got but for more power which would be a good turbo.

Im looking at making 300-350whp on pump

I know its been asked but im looking and thinking the t3t4 60 trim would be good for spool on the street and so forth

Josh

gt3071r turbine wheel: 60mm w/ 84 trim with .63ar, compressor wheel: 71mm w/ 56 trim .50 ar would be my first choice. or the ball bearing t3t4 60trim w .63ar turbine housing.

i'm making about 325/260 ish on a stock head a6. (made 300.08/260something on the stock cam, now its got a delta regrind)

im running 20 psi, (only 8:1 ish compression ratio too), with a t3/t4 (.63 exhaust/60-1 hi-fi intake), and a simple, clean kit. built the manifold, etc myself

i dislike that the ball-bearings are A)expensive. (better, but expensive), and B)supposedly non-rebuildable. that sucks.

i pieced together my turbo, and had Arizona turbo rebuild it.

total turbo cost, about 350 bucks

I know i can make the power. I just like a bit better spool time that i have now but with a bit bigger turbo. I was looking at the t3t4 60 trim with the stage 3 exhaust wheel .63 ar and ball bearing possible. I just do not want spool at 4grand or something

Out of your choices go with the 50 trim. There's no need to go any bigger for 300-350whp. 50 trim ball bearing.....that sounds fun.

I'm spooling 5400 with a .63A/R journal T3T4 57trim. I just don't see a 60 trim BB spooling earlier than 4gs.

50s all you need to make those numbers.

I've heard some good things about the 57 trim...

Search my name for pics of my setup. Bone stock Z6 180,000 miles with a Peakboost GT30R kit...and I see 10psi at about 4400 rpm.

I wanna make that same kinda power eventually, and I was actually thinking about a t3/t04e 46 trim. http://www.blaastperformance.c...4e-46 It would definitely be capable of 350+ while spooling faster than the 50 trim. Even the 40 trim flows enough for over 300...just thought I'd throw that in there since everyone goes for the 50 or 57 trim.
