D series turbo question
Do i need a sandwich adapter for my dseries turbo setup, does that mean that i dont have to drill and tap my oil pan? or wat exactly is that? thanx
no the sandwich adapter is for the oil feed while the tapping of the oil pan is for the oil return. I suggest you read a little more before boosting, but thats just my opinion...
No, you don't need a sandwich adapter. The sandwich adapter is for your oil feed and when you drill and tap your oil pan its for the oil return (gravity feed). instead of using a sandwich adapter, just tap off your Oil Pressure Sensor, its really not as hard as you would think.

the only problem is the fitting can snap off in the block and then **** hits the fan. If you get the fitting for the oil pressure sender i would recommend that you do a remote distribution block thats mounted to the firewall.
Or you could do what i did and have the oil pressure sender removed and put a straight fitting and have an oil run straight to the turbo, completely removing the oil pressure sender (its useless anyway)
