Default D series breather setup?

I've got a mild turbo setup, greddy 18G..looking to make about 200-250hp. i've done tons of reading on this subject and still i'm inconclusive. as of now i think i want to run a breather filter from my VC. Then I would like to purchase a single inlet baffled breather tank with filter. proceed to purchase the d series AN black box delete fitting from BnR and run a hose from the BnR fitting to the vented breather tank. will this work? are there any downfalls?

here's a picasso and a list of parts for reference.

thanx in advance.

I have two hoses.
One running from the valve cover the other running from the black box.

That will work just fine. I'm actually doing the same thing this week. I use to have two lines off of the valve cover and a 3rd line from the oem black box. I am changing it to just one -12 line from a b&r fitting to the can.

The only down fall of using it like that is there won't be any drain back line. I've never ran one anyway but you may or may not push more oil then me and fill your can.

I don't understand how people can fill a catchcan.. My block was ****ed up by my machinist, p2w was crazy big. When I took the head off a week ago I had probably 2-3mm p2w with legit ring gap and of course I sprayed some oil out of my open VC port and charcoal can, but it wasn't enough to matter. Never lost enough oil to warrant putting any in between 4500 to 5k mile oil changes. The motor had 60k on it like that.. I would have noticed if it lost a significant amount of oil. She's a superfreak.

d-series.org. go there and greg (Go-Autoworks) sells his catchcan kit for 315 with the regular blue/red fittings or black fittings and hose. i purchased mine a few weeks ago and i'm VERY happy with it. 2 -10 ports from the VC going into the can, and a -12 drainback to the fitting you have pictured, which is also included. even included the weld bungs you'll need to put on your valve cover.

this is the ideal d-series setup but for this mild 200whp build i think the one -12 line will work just fine. just make sure to drain the can as needed.

not trying to be a smartass or anything but i think everyone here knows 300bucks is alot of money for the functionality of whats going on here, i'm a college student on a budget eating ramen noodles everyday in order to scrounge up about 120 to do this a cheap efficient way.

the -12 IS the drain back. there's two -10's venting the VC, so there's no need to ever drain the can.

I had trouble justifying the amount too, but once i priced everything to get Fragola fittings (the cheapest i could find), ten feet of -10 hose, have two more bungs welded onto the same can you want (free),the block fitting, not only would i only have a -10 drainback, i wouldn't have to color fittings i wanted, AND it cost almost 400 dollars.

fittings and hose alone were almost 270, so that's what did it for me.

If he did it exactly how he posted, using the catch can he posted the -12 wouldn't drain back, only feed. For it to drain back the catch can would have to fill up to the top. That is what dpetro1 was commenting on.

Honestly for 200-250whp I wouldn't buy Greg's kit. I made 330 +whp on 3 3/8ths rubber lines.Don't get me wrong, it's a good kit and I support go-autoworks ( I have a go autoworks kit on my car and my dyno chart is on his website), but that kit is overkill for that performance level

oh gotcha.. To be honest, it's overkill for the power i'm making now aswell.

there's also a DIY on d-series that walks you through how to do it without welding anything aswell. should help you out.
