Anyone know where i can get a custom 2.5" dp made for my greddy kit in so cal? the muffler shops that ive been to dont believe it can be done. but ive seen people with 3" dp's.

 

Where in So. Cal are you?

 

Greddy kits all come with DSM turbos right? Go find out what the DSM guys are doing.

Looking at VTC's Setup it looks like they were right.. i have to flare the dp from the stock greddy dp. Thanks VTC

 

you got it all welded up mark!?~ man that was fast. Mark why don't you take the downpipe off and take it to a machine shop and get a flange made...unless of course you can get yourself a flange say from road race.....and then just get some u bends and tell the muffler peeps to just weld it up......might be time consuming but at least you'll have the greddy pipe so you can sell it again....if you every decide to that is....i mean it looks hella straight forward anyways.....the greddy downpipe that is......since it's two piece all you have to do is get the bottom part fabricated...and that's pretty much a 90 degree bend correct?

Ya i was thinking that. Since i would like to be able to keep the stock dp if i need to sell the whole kit. Ill see... VTC and Maxime have been very helpful with their pix. It looks like my options with the SOHC kit are:

*hack the stock dp and flare it out to 2.5" or
*get that 4 bolt flange and make it custom mandrel (a lot more work)
replacing that cast piece (turbo outlet adapter)

That is some nice work. All SS i see. I am pretty sure your exhaust housing isnt divided either. is that extra pipe there to help with the flow of the internal wastegate?

Is that able to clear AC?

It could clear the A/C if you put the fan on the other side. I simply removed mine.

 

My dp is 2.25" then flares to 2.5"...

 

I just finished a 3in dp for a SOHC greddy turbo.. So I KNOW you can do a 2.5.

 

do you have any pix? did u do what vtc did and just flared out the stock sohc dp to 2.5"?
