Default 2.5" downpipe for sohc Greddy kit

Anybody know of any place I can get one and keep AC?

I know about http://www.camotuning.com/ but their product section is being updated.

so you just took your existing 2.25" Greddy dp flange and had the muffler shop weld on a 2.5" piece?

Yes. Nobody had a flange readily for the DP, so I used the upper most portion of it and they flared it to 2.5" from there.

Or you could make your own flange?

good luck trying to fit 2.5 + all the way up and still be able to bolt it up..

the only way to do it right, is to take the greddy 90 peice out and flange it from there.

you cant go 3 inch on the sohc greddy's , you will spike all to hell. 2.5 is about as big as you can go..

If you've ever owned a DSM you'd understand.

if u look at the hole for the wastegate on the greddy turbo you will understand... it cant bleed enough flow w/ a 3" dp.

unless you bore it out it will probably creep and spike

Does going from the 2IN, to the 2.5 inch, really help? I know that the larger diamater is good, but is the 2in portion, a bottleneck?

example: if you have a 3 inch exhaust, but one of your cat flanges is 2.5, doesn't that restrict you to the efficinecy of 2.5???

Anyone?

what if you did a split housing...

one tube for wastegate and one for outlet of turbo

cause this is what i got for my turbo...wondering and 3in downpipe issues...heard lots of things about creep and spike on internal wastegated turbos

with my 3inch downpipe:

pros: spool faster

cons: engine doesnt like to be ran under 1500rpm (hesitates)

right now im only 5.5psi (stock for greddy kit td04) have never seen a spike yet dead even between 5 and 6 mark.

i must be lucky that i dotn get 'spiked'

from my experiance and what ive seen. a 3 inch dp with that setup over 10psi, you sometimes get spikes.

if you dont. well great. your lucky..

Got my custom made. 2.5 inch, seperate for the dump, and it ties back into the exhaust.
