Curious lean condition after Dyno tune????
So I had my car tuned on a Dyno Dynamics load dyno the other day and once finished the air/fuel was perfectly between 11.5-12.0 Now that I am on the street the car is running way lean like 13's. Now we used the load feature on the dyno to try and tune all the partial throttles as well. The guy who tuned my car is a close friend and I trust him completly with tuning my car but whats on the go? He seems to think that it may the be the fluctuations in air temp causing the problem. We compared the air temp correction maps in his Haltech to the ones in Crome and they are pretty different. Does anyone else have this problem or have any suggestion/comments to help us out. Thanks
The car is tuned with Crome Pro still running on the ostrich until I get the tuned fixed up.
setup:
Sleeved B18A with B16A head
Turbo: Garrett t3/t4 .48a/r
fuel pump: Walboro 255lph
Injectors: RC 750cc
Eagle rods
CP Pistons
P72 Oil pump
Type R LSD
GM 3 Bar map sensor
Power Plus Typhoon Intake mani
ss autocrap manifold
Custom 3" exhaust
We made 317whp and 290ft on 15psi
only reved to 7000rpm and the maps had not peak. Also they did not cross at 5250rpm like I thought they always did.
*note* this is a brand new dyno and a very green dyno operator could this be causing any issues?

Re: Curious lean condition after Dyno tune???? (Targa4Life)
aside from my CRX i think every car ive ever taken off the dyno was leaner then it was on the dyno. my guess is it has something to do with the airflow from real driving conditions as opposed to the dyno's fan which cant even come close to simulating airflow at 50+ MPH speeds.
im no expert though.

always street tune partial throttle on the street...even if u did it on the dyno...u need to fine tune for real world environment.
