Crower stage1 cam woes....
Ok my b18b1 has all the bolt ons now...includin IM. Im going boost in the next 3 months. Reason my job schedule doesnt let me install till 3 months from now. I have all the parts at home. But im debating in getting a stage 1 n/a cam just to get aome more pep out of her for the meanwhile. Is it worth it? Will iy affect my turbo power, since its a n/a cam?

The debat is wether to get n/a cams or turbo cams. Even though im guessing turbo cams. Im gonna go stage 2 with springs and retainers. Any input? Cuz ive heard people use n/a cams with boost?

Re: Crower stage1 cam woes....
on a turbo setup, i would not use NA based cams. The overlap on NA cams will push boost out the exhaust. I actually have a brand new set of old school Crane powermax cams with the turbo profile designed for spooling the turbo faster that i may unload for 400, im supercharged so im contemplating whether or not that is the best setup for me since I need a much larger exhaust side compared to a turbo setup.

Na cams work well on hondas with boost, Crower 404's crower 403's and jg303's are great cams. If its on a log manifold stick to the stage 1's otherwise jg303's hands down IMO
Running the cams in the car it should be tuned even na cause the stock ecu isnt going to provide enough fuel
