I have done research on this for a long time before I made my final decision on Pauters, from here to supraforums.com it has been unanimously accepted as one of the best and strongest machined rod.
You might have to be registered to see this thread but its about Crower, carillo and pauter rods http://www.supraforums.com/for...auter

we bent 1 crower billet rod this year, and destroyed 2 other crower rods(small end bushing) with only 815 whp. we are putting a set of pauters in the engine this time.

Yes pic please. Reason for it breaking?
I have Manley rods in my built motor. We will see how they hold.

We sell Crower, Pauter and Manley's and they are all three very good rods in certain applications. I think the Manley's though IMO are the stronger rod. They have been proven time and time again out on the track and we haven't had one issue with their rods. A very strong rod at higher hp.

manleys here and working great
to snap a rod its going to have to detonate and put force directly down on the rod.

I've never seen a pauter rod fail w/o something else failing first. I've even seen wristpins break and the rod stay together. Any more details on your mishap?

I have been using the Oliver rods in my motor since 02.They now have 25k+ hard (9000rpms) every day daily driven miles on them.I have gone up to 30psi somewhat tuned. As for horsepower on lower boost (20psi)what ever it takes to do 130mph in the 1/4 with a 2800lb car.

I was racing on the highway going about 130-140 and the motor just exploded. Didn't hear any noises before it all happened or seen anything funny. And to think of it the motor didn't feel funny in any way.

pauters are good ****, had some small block experience with pauters, but no honda experience. i can say this. i beat the ringlands to hell on my last motor and the rods held so good, they are in my current engine. i have nothing but good to say about crower.
