Default Crower 62403 Non Vtec Cams

anyone running a set of these cams in a turbo car was wondering how they work. I read the 404s are good so what about the 403s any info would be appreciated.

We recently put those cams on my friends car, I have them on my ls motor as well. His motor has valvetrain from crower and I put it in with a rebuilt head with valve job and velve blend and I can say that they made a hell of a difference even with out the tune. His car with a b20b and LS tranny turbo of course burns all through 2nd gear with Falken azenis and at 8 or 9psi. Before the head and cam swap this was not happening. Def big top end. SIck we will dyno within the next month. the cams will need to get tuned though, I had to lean out the idle to get the idle steady. I had to give it gas also to get the car to turn on initially. Now all is good.

now it is good, but at start up it did not hold at all. The valves were adjusted too tight but that was later rectified, but even now if you reset the AFC it will stumble and die. Overall it runs great with the current set up (Afc) I leaned it out about 22% initially, after the valve adjustment it is at 13%. only upto 1000rpm. Idle is steady at 850 or so. Oh, and the car pulls hard. I did not anticipate alot of improvement so I am pleasantly surprised.

Mine will be tuned with a stand alone so according to you it would be close to stock then? Im going to have my tuner make me a basemap then hopefully i can drive there with that

it should be fine with a basemap drive it to the tuner and have him tune away. We have a plx and AEM meter so we can see what the afr's are, and we have a afc to tune it a little with the base map. Good luck
