Crower 62402T-2, how's the idle on this??
I have seen great numbers with these cams but the one major concern on my mind is the idle of these cams. I heard it's a bit rough and choppy but what does that really mean? Also, with these cams will I need to upgrade my cam gears too or can I run stock ones? Any personal experience with these or similar cams would be helpful in my decision in getting them.

I have the turbo cams by crower I believe the only thing that changed was the vtec cam lobe, other lobe remained stock.

The 62402T-2 cams are for non-vtec motors.
As far as lope or roughness at idle is concerned there is absolutely none. There is barely any more duration than stock. We ran the 404's in a friends turbo car and it picked up a **** load of power, you didn't feel a whole lot SOTP with the 402T's compared to the 404's. Idle with the 404's can be rough if it isn't tuned right, but if your tuner knows what he's doing the idle will be nearly stock, but you hear a bit of a lopey burble at idle. Sounds quite nice, actually.

so which cams are better for LS turbo? the head is pnp with dual valve springs and titinium retianers and racing valves.

You're going to get a lot of naysayers on it, but we swapped from the 402T's to the 404's on a friends car, and the car picked up noticeable. It pulled harder, much harder on the top end, and turbo spool seemed to pick up a bit. PERSONALLY I would run the 404's in a high horsepower LS setup.
