I am having a problem with alittle bit of black crap showing up in my overflow tank. I have replaced the headgasket and flushed the system and new studs. The head and block was checked and was within spec. I am using the factory ITR oil cooler with a Greddy oil cooler. Now the question is has anybody had a OEM Honda oil cooler fail and do the same thing? Also there is NO water in the oil!

 

its probably coming from your Radiator..... is it stock?

Sounds like you recently had a head gasket problem? If so you probably just didn't get all the crap out when you flushed. Don't worry unless you get water in the oil.

 

It did this 4 years ago when I first put it together. I had the time and motor out to replace the clutch. It was just bugging me. I replaced the gasket thinking that it was leaking. There were no signs of a blown gasket or warpage. The car never over heats even when it's a 90+ and humid out while racing it! Max temp I have ever seen was 200 in traffic before fan kicked on. It's just baffling me with bullshit!!
