Crome experts help! idle issues
bult 2.0 gsr, ctr cams, victorx, 68mm tb, 3" turbo back, 750cc inj, gt2871r, tuned on crome pro on E85.
My issue is when there is a load on the motor and I press the clutch in to come to a stop the injectors are shutting off too long as it is coming to an idle. The car will stumble around 5-600 rpms and just die UNLESS I blip the throttle and the motor will start to idle again.
We have tried almost everything, copying my tune to a fresh stock bin, messing with the idle screw, adding fuel to richen it up. Am I missing something here?
Part throttle and WOT is awesome, but this idle issue is really annoying.

while you guys are figuring that out, anyone know why my turbo spool is directly connected to where my vtec is set? on my last b16 setup my turbo was full spool where vtec was set, 4500 rpms.
now with a 2.0 built gsr block, I would assume it would spool quicker. it doesn't come alive till vtec engages? 4500 rpm's?

Are you street tuning or is it on a Dyno? With a built 2.0 gsr i would hope you have it on a dyno. im not sure what your problem is with the idle but for the turbo not spooling till 4500rpms, there are a verity of reasons why it doesn't spool. The tune and turbo size is a key factor in helping spool time. Also, why is your vtec set to come on so low ?

Re: (iBrandon)
this was on a dyno. The version of crome we have does have a IAC option. I don't think the problem is with the iac. i think its the injectors shutting off during decel and not coming on quickly enough causing the car to bog and die. ???? That is what my tuner was seeing with the datalogs.

Re: (batboyvaj)
I have the same problem with Crome. Car idles like crap when it's hot out (for example, summertime). Once the engine warms up, it idles at around 600 rpm, and drops down to 500 rpm if I have the AC on. I spent an hour last night fooling with the advanced tables and the newer version with the IACV setting, nothing works. This problem seems to be sporadic, but I have it, and I've seen several others asking for help with it, but it remains largely ignored.

S300 does not
s100 and s200 do, along with the romeditor license and the unit etc.

Re: (mtber)
Ive had that problem before as well. I tried injector battery offsets adjusting taget idle and went through about every advanced feature I though may help and got nowhere.
Then I tried the xenocron version of crome and it fixed it .you can find it on pgmfi.org in the crome section search for the thread Xenocron explores crome
timing issues
Now crome will have an update pop when you open that version but don't do the update.

Re: (Dmc1)
yep use xenocron version, its the iavc, it what controls your idle when coming back down to that range, the further right u silde it, the slower the rpm drops when it gets down under 1500 rpm, the further left u silde it, the faster the rpm drops...
U test it by just reving the engine quickly and letting it come back down, if it drops below the targeted rpm, u silde it to the right until it doesnt drop anymore. If you rev and it comes down very slowly, slide it to the left...u just gotta play with it, but its you iavc thats causing you the issue...

Re: (Dmc1)
To the OP..Don't buy into all this honda tech jdm bling factor must spend cubic dollars bullshit.
Crome is fairly good software for the cost but it does have issue's..To be honest your tuner should have been able to overcome such a small problem as an idle issue.
Hondata is overpriced hype. They just want your money and FYI. It has all the underlying problems as crome.
Neptune is to expensive IMO.But I can't say anything good or bad about it because Ive never used it. Dave Leed says it works well and so does Xenocron.
IMO the software to look for Is Ectune. It's being developed right now by Calvin from Pgmfi as well as Dave Blundell and many of the other OG original honda tuners. IMO the only guys in the scene that know truly what their doing.

My guess is that...Well in the other versions the IACV slide was actually changing code in the wrong memory location in the honda rom. Or it wasn't doing anything at all. Thats only my guess..But all I know is that in other versions the IACV slider does nothing at all and in the Xeno version it works great.

Xenocron. His name is Xenocron.
Edit: I will also try the xenocron version. I was under the impression that the newer 1.4.4 release incorporated the IACV code from the xenocron version, but apperantly it doesn't...
