So I started my project. I removed everything needed from the stock setup (intake, header, and cat)

So my first set of questions...

When removing the header, some of the nuts came off and on some of them the whole stud came out. I am not sure if the studs are reusable or whatever but I have no problem buying new ones as the nuts were really rusted.

Where can I buy the studs that hold the manifold on and the nuts? Also the gasket?

Are all b16's the same? or is it specific to an OBD0 B16a?

Do you have to chase the threads with a tap before you put new studs in? Is there a trick to installing new ones since you cant put a wrench on there?

Also I heard you have to coat the exhaust gasket with Permatex Copper-Spray-A-Gasket. True?

Thanks

just put the stud back in as far as u can with your hand, no need for new ones. when you torque down the nut it will lock in place. you can get the gasket from a honda dealership. you don't need to coat the gasket with anything.

Definitely spray some copper spray on the gasket, provides you with a leak-free seal.

As for the studs, you can either reuse them or buy new ones, however you will need to switch to bolts on a few of the threads, the runners on the manifold will not allow studs, specifically on the threads right above cylinders 1 & 4. If you do put new studs in, do the double nut trick.

Put a little blue loctite on the threads of the stud, and put two nuts on. Tighten the stud down into the head, and then break the two nuts free.

Ok i have to go to the honda dealer and get the manifold gasket. All B series are the same except an ITR right?

Im guessing to keep things simple ill just tell them its for a 99 civic si. That should work right?

make sur eyou buy a small tube of anti-seize and put it on every stud, bolt or thread before you do the install!! if the threads are rusty now, they will only get worse without anti-seize

I did this and my wastegate and downpipe bolts backed themselves out and my wastegate fell off

Yea I have antiseize I will use.

Also I read the directions you have on your website but some more specific questions...

It mentioned clocking the turbo. I roughly set it up how it came and it seems to be right. Is it done already or will I have to do it?

Also none of the hardware is labeled, lol I guess I will just use what bolt fits where and hope I put the right bolts where they go.

the turbo must be clocked. we do not ship them pre-clocked! definately do not use it as it is shipped to you.

The hardware is not labeled, we assume that the installer is familiar with the components. sorry for any confusion. email us at tech@full-race.com if you have any other questions we can help you with.

Ok I got held up like crazy from the Honda Dealer. I needed to order a new exhaust manifold gasket.

It finally came in more then a week later and its the single layer gasket!

Full race says to use the double layer. Anyone have the right part number?

I ordered 18115-P72-003

I thought that was right but aparently not. Thanks
