Correct PSI

Correct PSI
Firtst off some car info: I'm at 2200ft above sea level. I have a turbo RSX-S using Hondata K-Pro for engine managment and running off of a 9lb watsegate spring, 3" dp and true 3" straight through exhaust. Now in K-Pro you can read the map sensor to see what vaccum/pressure you are at, at full throttle my peak pressure according to the map is 9.2lbs. OK. Now at the same time my autometer boost guage is reading 11lbs. Which is right ? I figure one isn't conpensating for change in altitude above sea level/ barometric pressure. Is the guage correct and the MAP isn't compensating or is the MAP right and the gauge isn't compensating for the altitude ? Or another answer ?

Agreed. My autometer is almost 3psi off from what my greddy profec is reading.

Re: Correct PSI (splitime)
The GReddy profec is prolly a little off too . So is the ECU. Correct PSI is prolly the average of the map sensor, GReedy Profec and the boost gauge. With that I found that each sensor is off by about 1 - 2 PSI which is pretty normal IMO

Mine seems to work fine, but I understand your point

as long as you have barometric pressure compensation turned on in the ECU, the ecu is reading exaclty what it should be.
