Which believe ( map or boost gauge )?
My peak boost according to my map sensor was/is "kg/0.76cm2" OR 10.8psi ( converted ).
My peak boost according to my brand new autometer boost gauge is no more than 8psi.
SOOO.. Which do I believe? the Map sensor ( using the apexi-AFC ) OR my autometer boost gauge that is tapped and the FPR vaccum port ?

the general concensus as far as i've seen is to believe the gauge. as long as the map sensor gives repeatable readings it doesn't really matter that it is reading the exact boost you are running.

Re: Which believe (racerxadam)
I generally don't think a slow to respond service grade boost gauge should be accepted at face value.
FYI, the AFC's representation of the MAP sensor's reading is right at the maximum reading the Honda MAP sensor is capable of. Keep cranking up the boost and the AFC won't show any more boost than ~0.75 kg/cm^3 because the Honda MAP cannot register any higher.
In light of this, do we now believe the Honda MAP sensor only reads to 8 psi based on a service grade gauge, because trust me - your MAP + AFC won't read any higher than 0.75.

That's kinda funny b/c as post above my AFC read .76 with the peak hold funtion... My boost gauge has seen 10psi, but I didn't look at the AFC's reading back at that point...
So which is right again, hehe..

Listen-- as far as that goes, each map sensor has it's own "personality" per say. My friend and I have identical cars (95civics) and his map sensor craps out at .74, whereas mine will not read past .72.
I wouldn't doubt your map may be reading an extra .01 before crapping out, and secondly, I trust my MAP sensor over any boost gauge. The real (and only) reason i have a boost gauge is to make sure I don't spike like 10 lbs-- it's simply a tool to verify that your wastegate stops making boost, and can simply show you that none of your lines have blown off.
Secondly, if you know your motor's vaccum readings under certain conditions, you can judge the overall health of the motor, ie, when I put my boost gauge on, I made a max of -18 to -20 inches and about -22 when decelerating in gear.
Now if, lets say, I crack my ringlands, I'd most likely have a vaccum problem-- which the guage would tell me. It's a tool, not a science!
EDIT:
FYI, 0.76 kg/cm2 = 11.172lbs
(14.7*.76)

Re: Which believe (Johnyquest)
personally, i wouldn't trust anything autometer told me....
but be that as it may, the map is what is getting and controlling the reading, not any gauge

Check your math. Check your pressure conversions, to be precise.

10.80974psi = .76 kg/cm2
That's just what I got by.
Thanx for the input guys !! My autometer A/F is the biggest wasteof money ever..
I guess I'm just going to keep cranking the boost till the map flips out since my boost is limited by my FMS... injectors, turbo, IC, and everthing else is good for more, but AFC hack is my limit, which is prob. good....
