you guys are making it way harder than it is.

art is right, as long as the timing is synch'd it doesnt matter.

sohc cams run slightly less timing then your typical dohc cam.

But to start conservative you would want to take everything to 12*, or am I making this **** up in my head. Because if you sync it at 16, you are 4 degrees advanced on a stock Y8 map. Maybe it just makes sense in my head. I know it might be making it harder than it should be, but is logical to me.

I know it doesn't matter. But does anyone understand whta I am talking about. It is like taking a z6 distributer and cranking it forward 4*... isn't that essentially what you are doing, if you take the Y8 and put it at 16 instead of stock 12....

Here is what happens to a map when you change your base ignition advance:

Dial your dizzy in to match your BIA. End of story. The 12 degree's deal threw me off a bit before because I never encountered this before.

****... I should have saved it in higher resolution, lol. I'll repost it tomorrow if I'm not too hung over.

That is exactly what I was trying to refer to. No one told me it could do that GRR...

So anyway good we were on the same damn page after all.

So hondata and uberdata have this after all.. I honestly can't believe that I never tried the addition button. What an ***. LoL

Well I learned something new today.
