Default Compressor wheel doesn't spin at idle, Is this normal?

Im running a T3/T61 and I was wondering if it is normal for the compressor wheel to not spin during idle. It starts to spin when the car starts and then it stops. Haven't revved it at all yet because I didn't know if it would be safe. Thanks for the input ahead of time.

what motor is this on? you simply just might not have enough exhaust flow at idle to spin it.

Perfectly normal for a good sized turbo on a small engine.

It should spin when you rev it though. But if it doens't spin at idle it's no big deal.

My d16z6 couldn't even build boost in neutral because it couldn't spin the turbo fast enough without a load.

Anyways, perfectly normal, nothing to worry about

To the OP....dont listen to ******** like this. You're fine if your turbo doesn't spin at idle. This topic has been coveed before, but it didn't deserve a dick response like the one above.

He's probably just pissed that his boyfriend couldn't get it up last night...

telling people to search is actually prohibited in the rules of the forced induction forums. i think we need some moderator action here.

as everyone has said turbos is fine just not enough exhaust gases to move it.

Wow dude, are you ok? You certainly put alot of thought into that...dont hurt yourself. Thanks for the helpful response, I appreciate it, I did search, thats how i found this post... To the guys that are making sense, I'm asking because I bought the turbo used, the OP was asking about a D-series, with a T3/T61, my application is an H22 with a sc6176e, I was wondering if something could be wrong with it, becasue it is a little stiffer than my SC44 even if i spin it with my finger.
