Default compressor surge? help

hey guys i have a h22, fmax manifold gt35r, and a hks ssqv w/ the gay purple insert, and i recently installed a 4inch intake pipe and 4 inch filter, (used to have 3) and my bov sounds really odd, and i belive it's surging, so i put the three inch filter back on and it went away, any ideas of what's going on.

I thought compressor surge was the cool but damaging sound you hear. Usally sounds like a reptitive fluttering sound. I get that sometimes if I boost part throttle and only build a little bit of boost.

okay i think i figuired it out, for some reason when i change either the length, or diameter of my turbo inlet pipng it changes the sound of the blow off valve, a 4 inch pipe and filter sound like a quick turkey gobble, and a 3inch pipe and filter sounds like turkey flutter, kinda like a supra, and just a filter directly on the turbo sound like a tial bov.

had the same issue, only mine happened when i went from a mini-ram to a top-mount turbo mani. correct me if im wrong, but the way i see is, if the BOV is working then it shouldnt be hurting anything right?
