Default Compression Questions

hey guys. i have a 95 LS and i compression checked it today. i need to know if my numbers are still okay for boost?! here they go.
CYL. 1: 180
CYL. 2: 155
CYL. 3: 160
CYL. 4: 175

the honda manual says youre okay if its b/w 135 and 200. with no more than a variance of 28 b/w the neighboring cylinders. someone who knows there stuff on LSs and compression prior to a turbo installation please help!!!! thanks for your time.

yeah i know. all the plugs were pulled and the injectors were still connected. i only did it once. the book said 200 was perfect and below 135 was too low. i just dont know if its still okay to boost?!

hey i just remebered i DID NOT have my foot on the gas at WOT. just on the clutch while i cranked it over.

Hey John… those numbers seem real inconsistent for a non-built motor. Did you do a leak down test as well or just a compression test? If you didn’t do both then do it! If I were you I would run the car up to Stoney at VSV and have him do it for you just for peace of mind. It will only take him about 10 minutes and you will know 100% for sure what’s up.

Two strikes rite there, hehe, j/p. You should crank the car 3 or 4 times for each cylinder, and make sure the gas pedal is held down to open up the throttle plate. Good luck.
