Default Revised Compression numbers.

hey guys i re-did the compression test at WOT and got these numbers. my car is a '95 LS.

CYL 1: 180
CYL 2: 165
CYL 3: 170
CYL 4: 185

someone told me that the center two cylinders are usually lower due to heat that is not dissipated as well as if it were on the two outside cylinders. Jim what do you think? im going to be boosting here soon, and have 75k on the block. just checking to see if these numbers are okay?! the honda manual says they are within spec.

I'm lost.. Is there a problem with the way your car runs? What is the reason for this post? How many miles on your motor? Give us some more info, and maybe we can help.

#2 is a little off but I would go ahead and boost it anyway...unless you have an extra grand or so laying around to buy pistons and rods!!

no i havent had a leakdown. but i think i might here soon. i am trying to pay off some bills here soon, and then ill start to finish the turbo project. it kind of sucks, since i want to have it boosted right now but it looks like ill be done this summer hopefully. yeah the number two cylinder seems off but im not too worried about it. i think moderate boost will be fine.

What!??!!

Bills before boost!! Where are your priorities John!! The bills can wait...boost cannot!! j/k

You'll be fine to boost it but it will be interesting to see a leak down test anyway.

yeah it sucks how it works out that way. but id rather not have a fast car and big bills. damn did i just say that???!!!! my last car i did not claim under insurance and i wrote it off as a total loss in order to avoid all the extra insurance that i would have to pay. so i lost about 11K and took out another loan, and used the charge card a bit too much. but im clearing that up with my tax return. hehe. then ill use your guideance jim to turn my car into a boosting beast.
