<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 9psiTurboSI »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">if you have a stock bore... I'd just stick with a oem honda headgasket... there's alot of guys makin 400-550hp on oem headgaskets</TD></TR></TABLE>
so the main difference is the bore size? or is the cometic gaskets are also stronger?
Thanks
Malte.

Re: Cometic Head gasket (mrx)
cometic gaskets are made thicker separating the head from the block a bit-- some up to 3mm therefore lowering compression and stress on the bottom end
this also is safer for detonation.

Some Cometic come with the hp rings too and help preload when you put on the head. Just better for higher boost levels I believe. I have gone with 3 of them on several setups. Never blew one and run high boost too. should be safe with a stock headgasket up to like 20psi. I have seen higher

Re: Cometic Head gasket (mrx)
i was told that it is best to use these if you have a large bore such as 85 or anything much higher than stock cuz alot of other hg's are made from the oem gaskets just bored out...
