check in there and see what they say, pretty knowladgeable folks about the EMS.
I also have a list of AIM screen names that know about the EMS, LMT if you need them.

I blew a coil first time trying to hook up the ems on my car. You need to de-pin ( or cut) the wire on pin A22. For some reason depending on year on honda/acura they used 2 wires spliced into each other going to the COIL1 output at the coil---actually its the ICM/ignitor, but it'll burn out the coil.

k, last coil is gone. I put 6 engine ground straps on. A22 wasnt an issue because Im using an obd2-1 adapter harness. Anything else???
Sounded like it was going to run, then just stopped and lost all spark...

This is my personal advice. I said it before. And being that I had crazy electrical issues. I suggest you go to version .89 then go from there. My headaches drastically went down when I went back to version .89.
What type of motor and setup are u running?
K to check your dwell settings (coil factor) Go to spark>dwell control> options dwell control. Then a little box will pop up and it will have 4 fields in it. Coil Factor, Dwell Min, Dwell Max, and Dwell Alt mod. See what your coil factor is set at. When I sent my ems back to aem they set my coil factor to 45. I got the car back and it started right up but after driving it would act as if the coil would break down. The coil factor setting is supposed to be around 20-24. I set mine at 24 and the symptoms of the the coil breaking down went away. From what I understand and I could be wrong b/c I am no expert. Is the coil factor/dwell setting tells your coil how long to charge before discharging. If this is set to hi it will heat up your coil and lead to the coil breaking down or failing.
You said you have gone through 6 coils so far. How excatly do you know they are going bad and that it is not your icm. My icm was the piece that kept going bad on my car and only one coil went.
Also did you try repining your ecu to a new coil driver. See if that helps just rember to change it in the AEM unit. I hope that helps a little.
Also are you on the AEM board. If you do a search under my name or icm/ coil problems you will find some posts.
Feel free to im me or write back. I am more then happy to try and help. I can live through your problems until I can build another civic.

Also, you can do what I did and replace the ICM and factory coil with MSD 6a adn blaster SS coil. However, I just upgraded cause my ICM went bad....not cause of issues with my EMS. To me it was worth the upgrade.
