I'm running a 95 sohc vtec block w/ 97 sohc vtec head. Ever sence the head swap I have been getting engine code 1 02 sensor. I replaced the 02 sensor with a brand new one and I still get the code, immediately after the car is started. I know I have a vacume leak at my throtle body temperarily, could this trigger oxygen content engine code 1?

did you reset the ecu after installing the new sensor??

 

Make sure it's not code 10, the IAT sensor. It may not be plugged in securely.

 

Code 1's well "usually" only happen after the O2 has reached operating temp, and the engine is in closed loop operation. The ECU ignores it until then.

zip i got a code 1 or 10 this weekend...they are so hard to tell apart. i unplugged and replugged the IAT and it went away.
