CM stage 4 or ACT XTSS <400hp
My car was just tuned and now my ACT HDSS (243lb Torque - 55% Increase) is starting to slip. What clutch do yo think is better for less then 400hp?
ACT XTSS
- Torque Capacity increase of 319 ft/lbs (+76 over HDSS)
- Clamp load Increase of 100% (+45 over HDSS)
ClutchMasters Stage 4
- 170% over stock

ACT XTSS, because it's has a street disc, and engagement is smooth, and holds to 309ft/lbs. I've only used ACT with no problem, but others will say CM.

Im making 260 wtq on my CM stage 3 and it showed no sign of slipping abd i love how the pedal pressure is lighter than stock!!! I would stick with clutchmaster for all my clutches
CM stage 3 is rated at 110% over stock i believe so the CM stage 4 should hold no problem with 170%

some of my friends swear by ACT ... some swear by CM ... either one will hold. Personally, I haven't ever driven the ACT clutches, but i love how my CM4 feels ... hard to tell there's even a clutch in there ... till you get violent with it
