Action Clutch 2MS. have ran this for the past 5 years, heavy pedal, but holds it all.

I would stay away from Action, i removed one of there clutches from a friends car, it was a 6 puck rigid disc, ALL the rivits holding the spline to the disc where bent and ready to brake OFF!!!
I also dislike ACT, they seem to have excessive pedal pressure.
If you don't mind some chatter the clutchmasters stage 5 is reasonably priced at around $350 and will hold your power for sure. Also dispite its high holding capacity the pedal effort is surprisingly low.

I'd go with the Competition Clutch Stage 4 six puck sprung. This is the clutch I run in my turbo B16 making 391whp and I LOVE this clutch. Reasonably priced and awesome customer service.

Despite the fact that some users are having trouble with it

Holy crap! I have this clutch in my car (had it for about a year now) and I've NEVER had an issue. Not everyone is perfect with their product and Competition stands behind their parts 100%. I've heard problems all the time with Spec/ACT/Clutch Masters, etc...

so action out of the picture...ACT to hard of a pedal...would you say that is true for a dd car... and so far clutch masters is looking good right now.. anyone else have clutch masters in there car for a dd?
My G/F daily Drives a ACT Heavy duty pressure plate with a sprung disk and doesent bitch about it and she is 113 pounds.
I am going on 4 years with with the act 6 puck that i used to daily. 500hp first year then after that its been 600hp. on my last setup it made 445Tq. To each there own. ACT gets left out to often when people are looking for a clutch

I heard good stuff about Competition Clutch when i was looking to get my new one...i ended up getting a CC Stage 5. The pedal pressure isn't bad, but i haven't really driven it....
Most people fail to realize is that sometimes products fail not because of the product itself but installation error. with that said, I have ran an ACT 6 puck sprung clutch and its been holding up great for two years granted that the pedal is a little stiff.
Act 6 puck with hd pressure plate here, its ruff but I personally would rather deal with the clutch than have it slipping, I dd drove the car and delievered pizza in it for a while 370whp...
what about the clutch masters stage5 why is it cheaper than the stage4 clutch by like 100$ is there somekind of trick to that? does anyone have a clutch masters.... and with all your replies the ACT 6 puck clutch is the way to go and i really appreciate your help but what about the other clutches what does everyone else have and how does it perform?
and i just looked on competion clutch and tell me what you think of this clutch....

I think its because its a rigid disc its cheaper to make so they pass along the savings to the consumer unlike most other companies that sell rigid discs for the same price as sprung discs... Clutchmastesr is a great company, i love there clutches as they feel damn near stock, i suggest for anybody making near or over 380whp to get there stage 5 though as i have seen the 4 puck sprung stage IV slip with 380whp on a 35r 2.0
just got a SPEC Stage 3+ shipped to me with their steel flywheel. I've heard some great things about the stage 3+. It's still a full-faced disc and they claim it to hold 400 ft-lbs. The quality looks really good i'll find out in spring how it drives. I ran a clutchmasters stage 3 before this and i loved it.

This is on a DD that i beat on pretty often.
How long ago was it when you replaced your friends? I'm pretty sure that Action had re-worked their clutch discs not that long ago.
ok well i bought a cc stage 3 so we will see how it does when i get it installed.....oh and my pp only have a couple of thousand miles on it should i resurface it or what should i do with it?
