Re: stage 4 competition clutch 6 puck problem
i got in touch with them, described the problem and did what they asked me to.
Still they said it could be anything but their clutch lol, and the previous one was just fine (ACT), i only took it out to sell it since with the new setup i was aware it wouldnt last...

I sold a few Stage 4 competition clutch 6 puck kits for the GSR and never had a problem with them. In fact I never had a problem with a competition clutch at all

Call them thay are verry good to the people that use there product and will go as far as thay can to help any of us. I will say that thay do recomend that you use there flywheel with the clutch kit. Also how mutch HP do you have my ACT did this to me it was time for a twin disc and some solid mounts.

Re: stage 4 competition clutch 6 puck problem
I have a problem with my CC stg4. It seems to have a mind of its own. Sometimes it hold and sometimes it doesnt. It all happens very speraticaly and is inconsistant. I'm doing some other changes to my setup and have already purchased a new flywheel...just in case this is my problem. When its done we'll see how it acts.

Had mine in the turbo Civic for over a year now without any issues. What did they say was the cause of the problem?

Re: stage 4 competition clutch 6 puck problem
I had a CC stage 4 with a good amont of races on it, but the disk was missing some chucks of material after inspection. I called CC they told me it overheated, they recommended the stage 5 clutch, that clucth only lasted maybe 10 passes down the track and then high shifts where impossilbe without grinding and other noises, after inspection of that clucth one of the three rivets let go causing some damage. I remember that guy from CC said you cant break the stage 5. I have an all motor car. I ended up going with a twin disk from another company with no problems so far. But the whole rivet issue was the only one I have seen or heard from my research so it could be a fluke in the assembly process.

Re: stage 4 competition clutch 6 puck problem
Had the EXACT same problem with mine. Stage 4. Adjusted it. Changed slave. Blead the system out. Adjusted again. same crap. Had the tranny out about 5 times that day.
Turns out it was my crappy aluminum flywheel. So I said fck it and ordered one of their flywheels and that cured it. Only probs I have now is that it will scratch going into 3rd or 4th at high rpm. Tranny shifted like butter with the stock clutch! Going with a twin disk as soon as I kill this one.
