Default clocking a greddy tdo4-15g

well i have the SOHC and to do things the way i want to i need to change the position of the charge part of the turbo (not the exhaust with the DP)

I see most people have bolts they loosen to rotate it. I don't have those. After looking at it it seems like i have to use big snap ring pliers and friend to compress the snapring and then rotate the housing before i let the snap ring back in place. Is this right?

I don thave any pics and couldn't find any that showed exactly what i was talkign about.

thnaks for the help guys.

i beleive thats a internal wastegate turbo
i think it cant be since the housing also hold s the wastegate actuator and then u cant open it... i wanna do that also with my turbo, but theres actually a way to turn it, but then u screwed since u cant hold the wastegate no longer

i am retapping the bolts that hold the wastegate. so it wont be a problem. Is the snap rign all thats needed to move the housign position? IU'll try and get some pics for a better idea of what is goign on.

u going to retap on the actual compressor housing
the average housing has extra material where the bolts go.. if u tap the housing u will go actually inside of it and will hurt the compression effect

as far as to clock it.. if u see the housing has a half moon hole in it...
and the cartridge has a lil nipple that matches that half moon.. that clocks and keeps the turbo straight..

use a dril and dril that nipple off.. halfway u will see that it will come right off (is just press in )
that way u can clock it wichever way

search on http://www.turbod16.com
theres a link that showws it... cant remember .. ill post it as soon as i get home

i have removed the bolts for the wastegate already and they go all the way through the housing. so i will get extra bolt of the right size to fill in the holes, while retapping through the same ridge of metal for the new holes. I'll have to check out that nipple thing. I was hoping all i had to do was the snap ring oh well. I guess time to search the other site.

I found some info on the 14b, it sounded like what you were talking about.

well it was actually really simple. after buying the biggest baddest snap ring pliers i could find, i removed the snap ring and now i rotate housing as desired. now i just need to get the wastegate holes moved and I'll be that much closer.

thanks for the help.
