Clearance issue with Synapse FPR

I have an Edlebrock Victor X intake manifold so any FPR doesnt easily fit on the stock rail, the return hits the plenum. So I ordered the Edlebrock fuel rail which has an adapter to use the FPR on the end of the fuel rail. So it clears the plenum but now the forward vac barb of the Synapse FPR hits the head now.
Here's a pic. The manifold isnt tightened down all the way here.

Ive emailed Synapse Engineering and PM'd him on here but havent gotten a response in 2 days. I need to resolve this ASAP. Can I remove the 5 cap screws on the top and clock the top half of the FPR?

Honeslty not only is it sad that a company such as Synapse has put so much time and money in to all the claimed R&D that their products have, but simple clearance issues cant be resolved due to customer to supplier contact issues...
If they dont answer in atleast 24 hours i would attempt to take it apart myself, from the picture it looks like it wouldnt be a problem to clock the unit. Is there a gasket in between the 2 peices? If i assume right it should be like any other FPR consisting of a simple spring, but then again they try and re-invent the wheel over there so its probibly got like a little lepracon inside...

Im usually not afraid to crack something open but being $200 and not really knowing how it works I am a hesitent. Im thinking it cant be clocked bc of that adjustment **** on the top prob connects to something on the bottom. Anyways, Im going to give it a shot and if I break it, Ill blame HT lol
Is the VAC barb press-in or screw-in? If it's the screw-in type just change it for a 90* item or ask Synapse to send you a 90* barb.

Brian, in the other thread someone else mentioned and I also mentioned teh use of any aftermarket rail and the adapter fitting from Jackson Racing, I know this works. I know you bought all this to work together BUT if it doesn't just get a GE, AEM, BDL whatever Fuel Rail UNLESS you can still mount the FPR standard style on that Edelbrock rail and just get the JRSC piece. Good luck
Edit:On Second thought IF you got the Jackson Racing piece and put it on the end of there I think that would solve your clearance issue anyways. It will clock the FPR 45 degrees or so

Also another alternative i, I knowyou may not want to do this BUT you could cut off half of that nipple for the vacuum source and then put the hose and a worm clamp on it or a zip tie. I can't tell BUT is the nipple screwed in? Maybe just get a 90 egree fittiing from somewhere . Sooo many options for you Brian IMO

x2... press in fitting or screw in?

Or you could put a stock honda regulator back on the rail and solve all your problems. What is the benefit in using that regulator on a honda?
ive had more damn problems on the dyno with aftermarket regulators. swap them out for honda regulators and the problems solved.
ive never seen the synpase regulator...that picture wont work on this computer

1:1 fp w/boost...does the stock fpr do that?? i didn't want to find out the hard way.

Yup, only reason i see to go with an aftermarket regulator is if you have a really big fuel pump that the oem reg. can't bypass enough fuel to keep the pressure down at low loads (not a walbro). At that point, you've pretty much done the whole fuel system and the regulator should be upgraded to an Aeromotive or Fuel Lab.

Why would I run the stock FPR when I already bought this part? All I need to solve my clearance issue is a 90* barb fitting. This doesnt have to be complicated.
Synapse responded and told me that vac fitting is a M5 x 0.7. Im having trouble finding barb fittings in that size. Summit doesn't have any. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Because it fits correctly and works? Oh and it costs about $200 less

Maybe Mcmaster-carr.com They have what seems like a good amount of barb fittings, might want to give it a look. I just put in the m5 x .07 and it give me a list of things to choose from. I click barb, scroll down to metric and give it a look to see if they have what you need.
