Need advice on 600whp b series build
Looking for some help sourcing components for my 600whp build. Engine is a b20 with ITR head and a gsr tranny. Vehicle is a 88 wagovan!
I have so far for the build:
Hasport EFB2
Full race top mount kit(with 4" dp)
Full race half rad
Garret GT35R
RC 1000cc injectors
Hondata S300
Greddy Profec B spec2
Aem fuel rail
Walboro 255(to small?)
Act 6 puck with extreme pp
Engine is going to be sleeved at laskey racing as well as the head ported
What i need:
Intake
TB(size)
Ignition
Axles
FPR
cams(roller rockers?)
Lsd
And anything else corresponding to the build
Can any one post similar builds aswell?

Re: Need advice on 600whp b series build (Blazeone)
Walboro 255(to small?)- i might consider an Aeromotive A1000 at this level, but you could also run twin 255's
Intake--- Depending on budget you could go with a full-race unit, but the Edelbrock IM will work perfect
TB(size)---70mm
Ignition--- You could run an MSD unit with a blaster coil but there are plenty of options for ignition
Axles---Gator stage 5 i guess, i have heard of people at 500whp+ on stock axles, but its all in the driver
FPR---Again Aeromotive
cams(roller rockers?)--- there is nothing wrong with an ITR cam, but there is a lot of options out there
Lsd---Quaife(sp)
And anything else corresponding to the build--- What EMS have you considered, who is tuning the car/building the motor and with what rods and pistons?
Can any one post similar builds aswell?
I am currently building a buddies car that is a fully built LS/Vtec 84MM, edelbrock IM, peakboost kit with a SC61E blah blah blah. Car will be on stock axles for the time being with full-race traction bars. Expecting 5-550whp on 110

Re: Need advice on 600whp b series build (Blazeone)
I would not use a Walbro for that kind of HP, they faill at higher pressure levels, just stick with a BOSCH 044.
Ignition i would stay with the stock one, it is good enought.

640whp was what he put down last season...heres the dyno. He daily drives the car to work and back and races it weekends. NO pump failure to this day knock on wood. Ive personally seen HIGH 600's on the walbro 255hp's.

I think you are confusing high horse power with high fuel pressure . Walbro's fail when used in conjunction with FMU's.

no, he meant high pressure levels. fuel pressure still rises 1:1 with out a rising rate regulator. 40 psi base 30+psi boost = 70+ psi fuel pressure.
IMO the dyno chart he posted was a good example of why you wouldnt want to use a walbro pump on a high horsepower/boost/fuel pressure car.
you cant tell me that their target air fuels went from mid 11's up to mid 12's back down to mid 11's. right at peak torque where the motor requires the most fuel too.....
ive seen numerous walbro's fail. i dont like to run them over 500-550 whp. we had a supra with 3 walbro's kill a pump in the middle of a pull. imagine loosing a fuel pump at 1200whp....

Intake = AIR if you can pony up the funds.....or Edelbrock
TB(size) = What size IC piping are you running? Match that ...presume 66-70mm
Ignition = Stock with maybe an MSD coil....otherwise M&W
Axles = DSS
FPR = Aeromotive
cams(roller rockers?) = ITR
Lsd = Quaife
And anything else corresponding to the build....I would switch to an aeromotive A1000 pump.
cam gears

ditch the greddy boost controller and use hondata s300 for boost controll. it works WAY better. you wont need roller cams at that power level. quaiife lsd. DSS axles.
my t3 .63 35r set up made 616whp at 25psi
