Default Chip Worries

I'm turboing my car this week and at the same time I'm chipping my PR3 ECU. I'm getting the Mugen N1 chip and the Spoon program but I'm worried that they might effect the timing maps the wrong way for boost. I would stick with the stock program but I was sent an automatic ECU with my swap from password jdm. Thanks for any advice,

If it helps I'm running a B15 w/ a T3 .60 .63 running the AFC Hack and can't afford a BTM right now.

find a new virgin manual ecu, do NOT get any N/A program for a boosted motor, it'll go straight to hell

Also isn't uberchip only for obd-1?

Get a Hondata, then you can get it fully tuned for boost and have it prperly tuned so it feels like it came from HOnda with the turbo.

Direct your favorite ECU chipper to http://www.pgmfi.org/phorum/read.php?f=35&i=1&t=1

The required .bins are at the absolute bottom of the thread, configured for stock (euro, actually) NA timing and 1.0 deg/psi retard under boost, for use with AFC hack or MAPhack setups. You still need to tune your fuel maps as per the usual AFC hack.

You're welcome, I did the PR3 ignition maps back in the bad old days of hand calculation with spreadsheets and hex editors. **** the sissy "I need a tuner app" bullshit I hear these days.

JDavis, you have found EXACTLY what I have been looking for thank you so much.

EDIT: After reading that entire thread I have some questions:

1. Is this bin intended for use on the PM6 or PR3 board?

2. What were the changes to the pr3 bin, it said the high cam was unchanged?

3. Where is fuel cutoff on that PR3 bin?

4. So when I'm ready to go do I just tune the VAFC hack like normal by starting at -35 across the board? Where do I set my distributor timing to if this is taking care of ignition retarding?

1) The LS and Si MAPhack are meant for use on OBD0 PM6 and PR4. The PR3 and PW0 MAPhacks are for use with their respective B16A1 ECUs.

2) The first PR3 MAPhack was a partial save of some work I had done, not the completed .bin which was lost in a HD crash. It only has the low cam ignition set up for AFC/MAP hack. The second one, posted with the PW0 MAPhack, is the correct one with both high and low cam ignition tables corrected.

3) Stock 8K redline, would you like I change that and/or VTEC for you?

4) Start -40%-ish in the lower pre-spool revs and add fuel up to wherever you have to under boost, according to your AF gauge/O2 voltage/preferrably wideband O2. Set your dizzy timing to stock, 16 degrees.

I thought the map was scaled for 450ccs so you didnt have to use an afc?
