wastegate v band adapted to fit onto the turbine housing....how do you think flow is on this?

And i don't know how that divider isn't going to hit the WG piston....spacer maybe? but then it would kinda ruin the whole divided housing thing. . .

thats the best place to put a wastegate; the wastgate has to "work" less to get the gases out of the system.

the divider is there to keep the turbine housing divided though i have no idea what benefit if any that provides.

I kno why its there....but won't that hit the piston of the WG? And if it doesn't, say some sort of spacer is used....that will defeat the purpose of the divided housing, because exhaust gasses can flow between the two sides, no?

The wastegate valve doesn't sit flush with the bottom of the flange.

like k24 said; the v-band gates sit pretty high up; they probably made that spacer to sit as close to the valve as possible; it may or may not have been shortened some more when they test fit it.......

without knowing more its hard to say

/edit': and unless i'm missing something that picture is flipped horrizontally

I see what you are saying about the wastegate valve. The valve has to seal when the wastegate is closed, or it will leak exhaust and kill spool.

I'd like to see how they are sealing that divided flange against the wastegate valve.

OT: That turbo is tilted too far. Very poor manifold design. That's going to kill the bearings.

IF it were me and i was gonna go through the extent of modifing the turbine housing like that i would have went down more on the housing itself to give the wastegate a more direct hit. Just my $.02

my thoughts exactly, oiling was deff not thought of when this design or lack there of took place. The angle seems a bit to much.
