check engine light comes on when i boost....
my car is running alright its a 95ls turbo but when im boosting my check engine light comes on and i dont know why...when i try to check the engine code it wont flash...also my car is reading like 50 when i boost on my safc under the throtle 2 which is very lean....
i have a missing link on my map sensor....and my car is bukking real bad...my full setup is 93 coupe with 95 ls motor with drag 3 trubo kit boosting 4psi with a vortech fme 12:1 with walbro 255 intank fuel pump and stock injectors
I installed a JG TB on my car a while back and the CEL came on, but it wouldn't blink when I jumped it...weird. I knew it was either the MAP or TPS...it turned out to be the TPS and I had to turn it just a tad and it went away. really queer.

My check engine light comes on sometimes at about 8,000rpm and goes right back out when the rpm drops. I check for codes and there are none. Any ideas? I'm running a built GSR motor and 12psi using Hondata and GM 3bar MAP:

Hmmm... not sure. I don't think so. When I had my 96 GSR, I had some bad gas once that caused the car to ping baddly... the knock sensor never threw a code.
You think maybe Im getting some "piston slap" from my forged pistons and rods... falsely being detected as detonation? Since I have Hondata, I wonder if it would be wise to turn the knock sensor off.
