Check engine light
Hey well I've been ignoring my check engine light (CEL CODE 3 & 5 Map Sensor) for a while but now its really starting to bug me. Well I own a 95 Integra LS with a 97 LS swap. Car is still OBD1 bought a Greddy Turbo Kit 18g, have the blue box rewired to work on the OBD1 just bought a Blox Racing Map Sensor Bypass Valve and I'm still getting a check engine light for my MAP Sensor. I switched Map Sensor just to see if it was the actual Sensor bad but still getting a check engine light. Running a walbro 255lph fuel pump and the 310cc RC injectors. What can it be?

Re: Check engine light
Always had it hooked up with a check engine light.. Ever since I dropped the turbo in I've had the check engine light..

Re: Check engine light
that MAP bypass valve is also known as the "missing link" for using with an FMU. If you're boosting more than 11psi, I'd recommend a 2BAR, or even a 3BAR MAP sensor. I'm not familiar with the Blue Box so I couldn't help you there.
Did you mix up the IAT and the MAP sensor plugs?

Re: Check engine light
The bluebox is a piggy back old school greddy hack. it worked but not that great. It was better than running an FMU, allowed to run bigger injectors on tock ecu. Basically the begining stages of the emanage but without any adjustability. IMO Do your self a favor and get your ecu socketed and bring it to a good tuner and have it tuned with crome. that will rid you of the CEL and also make the car run 100% better

Re: Check engine light
I found a " GM 3 BAR MAP SENSOR " ok only thing I'm wondering now is if I order it and install it do I leave the bypass valve? I'm sure I would have to remove it, but just want to double check. Also will it eliminate my CEL?

forget that bypass valve all together. If you are still getting a CEL, fix that first. If you've tried a different MAP, it's not the MAP itself. Like I asked, did you mix up the MAP and the IAT sensor plugs? Maybe TPS? Maybe you have the wrong sensor plugged in to the MAP? Do you have left-over plugs not plugged in?
If you do get the GM 3Bar, make sure you get the pig tail with it. you'll have to cut the wires from your stock harness and wire it to the GM pig tail.

Re: Check engine light
I tried on a friends MAP sensor and still a CEL for Map comes up. Checked to make sure none of the plugs were mixed up and sure enough none where. Everything seems to be in it's place. Weird..

Re: Check engine light
I would take off that Blue Box and see if the problem goes away. Something tells me that a wire was plugged in where it's not supposed to be when you installed the turbo.
