Default Cheapest stand alone?

Tired of my VAFC and FMU. Need a boost dependant, OBDII compatible ecu.

I know of the AEM, zdyne, power fc. Dont want hondata.

Are there any other alternatives that are cheaper?

There's people that would say 4 cylinders and turbos are the same way, but I dont listen to their opinions either.

Look at the PRS system. $600.00, but you will have wiring to do.
Dont fret though, they have a shitload of wiring diagrams available. Also, the software is downloadable if you want to mess with it.

I agree, I'm going hondata 2b and swapping in an obdI ecu, I think I should be a little under $1K which seems to be pretty much the going rate for a standalone!

nothing wrong with it.........there is a thread going on explaing the difference.

its a good/simple street tuning application. but if u want lots of features u can go with the AEM. im pretty sure hondata is going to put out a aem type of system soon.

IIRC the Apex-i power fc is the least expensive standalone

...actually I was directing the question to niedejb, as he commented that he was not including Hondata as an option.

I actually am using a tuned Hondata system and am very happy with it.

Cheapest standalone? how cheap? Like $100? People just don't waste their time to R&D stuffs for nothing. I would go with EMS, there are more options to play with. Oh sorry you want it cheap. n/m.

If you're obd1 then definately hondata. Otherwise I'd say just get the aem ems from the groupbuy. Plug in and play ownz...

the aem is good unit to go with for obdII cars since its plug and play and its abundant features.

The price right now with the gb is unbeatable 1218.75
