cel when hit boost
so everythings fine then when i get on it and the boost fully kicks in i then get a CEL... any ideas, ill be taking it to a shop to be checked out later this week on my day off from work but until then i just wanted to get an idea of what to probably expect to be wrong... btw, its a fully rebuilt and sleeved engine, balanced, turboed (obviously), every parts after market... we just replaced o2 sensor, coolant temp sensor, and tps sensor... checked IACV and its fine... ecu is fine and chipped with a Hondata S300 chip...

Is it actually a chip? The S300 is a full board, not a chip, so I'm thinking you have something else like an S200 where if it doesn't have the boost option you will throw a cel when it sees boost.
If you do have an actual S300, is J1 jumped on the ECU? Stock code throws a cel when it sees boost.

Re: (HRTuning)
its a whole s300, and i had it installed by a well known shop that is known for chipping and tuning hondas... and i know the difference between the s200 and s300 because i bought the whole s300 with the boost control and everything, i even did my research on the stuff too...

I noticed you said it stays on till you cut the car off so this probably has nothing to do with it. The s300 signals the cel to flash when your coming up on the rev limiter but then it should turn off. Its used as a shift light. I think there is some other options you can use your check engine light for but not sure.

You do have a GM 3-bar MAP sensor, do you? Just checking.

Re: cel when hit boost (Greasemonkey75)
yes the s300 works with the gm 3bar, i do have it but i do not have it installed yet, that was the next thing i was going to do but i got to figure out the wiring to hook it up properly... me and a buddy were thinking that its probably because of not having that map sensor on there...

Re: cel when hit boost (ls19integra95)
What trouble code are you getting???
If it's coming up read it in Smanager and find out what is triggering the cel.
on under 10psi you shouldn't be getting a cell if the ECU has been properly set up for boost... and FYI just because it's got boost control doesn't mean it was properly set up for boost...
Do you have J1 jumped as HR Tuning asked?
Easiest way to find out is to have your laptop hooked up to it and find out what code it's throwing. Then work from there

Re: cel when hit boost (NonovUrbizniz)
ok first off yes j1 is jumped... the tuning shop that installed it triple checked the ecu... second i cant hook it up to my lap top due to the fact that it was stolen recently... which this is the reason im trying to just get some rough ideas right now of what could be wrong... i cant drive the car for a few days now because the turbo manifold had half the welds break (pos mani) so its not top priority right now for the cel...
