Ok so after starting the motor and warming it up, it seemed to be running fine. But then it just started to die. I would turn it on, rev it a little and it would cut out. It drives fine, but as soon as i let off the gas and clutch, off it goes. i want to get this thing to the dyno this weekend but cant if i have this problem.
anybody got any suggestions. thanks
setup:
94 gsr long block, sleeves, pistons, rods, skunk 2 im, stock TB, "silver surfer" turbo, gm 3 bar map.

Is your timing set to stock?
Did you follow the procedure to set the idle? Disconnect the IAC and try to get it to idle at 450?
Obviously that will be hard to do now...
I'd try to set the idle speed higher till it holds then try to trace down the problem...
What map are you running has it been tuned already?
It's sounds like a IACV or timing problem.

the timing is off i know that. but i know its not the timing. because i had this problem before. and it is not every single time i turn the motor on.
i did not follow that procedure. im running gm 3bar map. could iacv be dirty?

um i would imagine that would be a nice little vacuum/boost leak. ??

A) Get your mechanical timing correct.
B) Set your idle timing to a few degrees advance (18-20), it will help the car idle.
C) Clean your IACV out, and also increase the duty cycle in Hondata and see if that helps.
Start with that, if you still have problems then start looking for vac leaks and make sure you're MAP sensor is reading correctly.

will do. i just turned her on right now and she ran fine. i also noticed that the iacv duty cycle was low. i turned it up a bit and noticed she ran smoother.
